Use these bags to cover my plants so bugs don't get at the leaves. They work great; however, after multiple uses and cleaning, the elastic deteriorates. This isn't a big problem for my use and they are not meant for permanent long term use, so no worries. They worked fine for my purposes. Would purchase again (and I did, bought the 5 gal size for my larger milkweed plants that needed time to "re-leaf" for the next generation of Monarch caterpillars. The monarchs had to lay their eggs on other milkweed plants in the meantime, while the covered plants recovered sufficiently that I could place the caterpillars on the plants (which are their host plant).
