Bubble extraction bags are commonly used for making cold water hash, which is a concentrated form of cannabis resin. Here’s how you can use them:
Prepare Your Materials:
You’ll need Bubble Bags (a set of different micron sizes), ice, water, and your dry or frozen plant trimmings.
Line a bucket with your Bubble Bags, starting with the smallest micron bag (usually 25 microns) and ending with the largest (usually 220 microns).
Mix the Ingredients:
Fill the bucket with cold water, covering the bottom of the Bubble Bags (about halfway full).
Add your plant trimmings.
Add enough ice to almost fill the bucket to the top.
Stir the mixture for 15 to 20 minutes, ensuring it stays cold. A 50/50 mix of ice and water works well.
Extract the Herbal Resin:
Pull out each Bubble Bag one by one, draining them into the bucket.
After draining, turn each Bubble Bag inside out to collect the herbal extract.
Gently press out excess moisture from the herbal extract using a pressing screen and a dish towel.
Remember that different micron bags will yield different qualities of hash. The smaller micron bags tend to produce higher-quality hash, while larger micron bags may contain more contaminants. Experiment to find the right combination for your desired outcome!
