How to Clean Your Bubble Extract Bags for The First Time?

Cleaning your bubble extraction bags for the first time is a fundamental step to avoid any contaminants on your concentrate. Here’s how to do it properly and take care of your equipment:

1. Start at the Top: When cleaning your brand new set of bubble wash bags, begin by cleaning them as you would wash down hash. Start at the top, work your way around in a circle, and move down until the fibers collect at the bottom of the bags in the middle.

2. Flip Inside Out: Hold the bag and flip it inside out. Make sure you grab the screen so that the fibers in the bottom of the bag are in your hand, on the mesh. Then flip the bag inside out. Rinse it to get rid of the fibers. Repeat the same process on the outside of the bag while it’s still inside out.

3. Thorough Rinsing: Spray the bag down from the back to the middle until no more fibers come out. You might need to wash each bag 6 to 8 times to ensure thorough cleaning.

4. Water Temperature: For the first wash, use room temperature to cold water. Avoid warm water, especially after making a concentrate, as it can cause oil to stick to the mesh, clogging the net and impairing its ability to filter trichomes.

5. Sticky Spots: If there are sticky spots (like hash stuck on the bag), splash a little bit of 99% isopropyl alcohol (ISO) on the problem area, rub it until it releases, and then rinse several times. You can also use a small amount of Oxi Clean during the first wash.

Remember, proper cleaning ensures the longevity of your bubble bags and helps maintain the quality of your concentrate production.
